If you are planning to buy this mineral please bear in mind that they can be fake. Citrine is a yellow variety of quartz like amethyst but it is purple-violet. Citrine has ferric impurities, and is rarely found naturally. Most commercial citrine is in fact artificially heated amethyst or smoky quartz.

so please bear in mind that the citrine they are selling is most likely a fake one... I have seen this so called "citrine" for sale at sm north, quiapo and at various mineral shops. ABE
