There are some ATM for gold coins in Dubai,Germany and USA.

Phillipine needed gold for currency reserve.

Maybe silver coin the one with a new design it will take 200,00 to 300,000 for one die to worn.

First strike of die upto certain amount for silver first and put all new silver coin in major airport in the Philippine for tourist as sourvenier just like the ATM gold but instead of gold just used silver.

Just a comment.

that is a very good idea. but then the philippine collectors were so few. that is why the central bank won't do it.

by the way the silver is almost hitting new 30 years high again. one cent shy of the record at $30.72. previous one is $30.73. gold traded a recent high today at $1,415.40/oz. the all time record high is $1,432.50/oz.

many analysts think 2011 silver could break the $50.00/oz. and gold target is ranging from $1,600.00 to $1,800.00/oz. which is not bad. so the $2,000.00 could come soon. happy new year.

Yes there are few Collectors in the Philippine.

But there are world collectors.

If they can buy jewelries they might also buy silver coins and it will take a year, if they will strike a new coin, hope by that time if the BSP will mint a silver coin hope tourist will buy all silver coins minted if not they can sell it again next year to come.

With the increase of precious metal dont know what denomination for one ounce silver.

If silver will reach 50 USD by 40 exchange rate 2000 pesos.

Nice to have a silver Philippine coin back by the goverment as a legal tender one troy ounces 400-2000 pesos.

Just a comment.

Philippine should mint silver coin there is a state in USA that planning to mint silver and gold coins,so the USA is not jumping right away to bullion currency it will take time but it is better safe.

On the grain they will use they can use the grain in piloncitos, just a comment.

Maybe the deduction and contribution of Filipino in there wages maybe represented in Philippine silver and gold reserve in coin for the country.

Other countries issues special edition bullion coins every once in a while although some do it yearly. USA, Canada, Australia and most European countries issues coins in silver, gold and platinum for collectors and it is not really intended for general circulation, just look at the number of mintage. This is what we are waiting for the Bangko Sentral to issue, a Philippine coin with a respectable value like silver coin or maybe a gold coin. Japan and China issues collectible coins in silver and gold. It is done by other governments to raise money and to emphasize awareness of things unique to them. Perhaps, a People Power coin with Ninoy, Cory and Pnoy?

tokens on the other hand steady lang ang price, there is no chance to make money out of it most of the time considering that most tokens do not use precious metals as their material.

copper is going down dahil sa slow growth rate ng china.

Good read.

If it will be signed it will be 1/50 1 state in 50 state use silver and gold, just like 1 part of 50 part in coin is made of gold and silver.

dont know if it will effect the value of dollar in good way it might means that 1/50 all dollar printed is back by silver and gold.

It does not mean automatically return to gold and silver the whole of US there is a transition to full fiat to returning to gold and silverthe bad news is Utah pass a bill.

I dont know where the Philippine stand, the government executive congress and senate and the BSP an independent body should act now.

If it will happen if USA will return to silver and gold currency second black eye for the Philippine if they dont it right bulag na, dalawang mata na tinamaan, first case in macapagal time in 70s second time hindi pag na mint o gumawa ng bill para sa gold and silver, kundi resolution pa para tangalin ang sentimo, unfortunate na naman parang benta na naman, just pay the national debt as other say worthless US dollar bill a national reserve currency of the Philippine,if not bare the interest starting in cheap metal content that others can think steel or other then pay the whole accumulated interest par annum in gold if the US or other country return to gold currency or just let other nation physically conquer Philippine benta.

the philippines produces some 1,350,000 ounce of gold each year. worth some 20 billion u.s. dollar or around 870 billion peso. that is for one year only. and where those money going to?........any one?.

that figure is good for one year consumption of american eagle bullion one ounce gold coin.

Ive read in the internet that its a two way street Philippine buy and sell gold but sold more than it buy as far as I read in the web,not all gold mined in the Philippine goes straight to the BSP and stay there.

Even fiat and precious metal coin they will just gamble it away big time in stock market masmalala pa sa butas na bulsa o daanan ng tubig ulan, bigyan nang pulgada o milimetro na mahina ang economiya buong pagaari lustay.

Just posting.

http://www.gmanews.tv/story/41893/Philippine-News-Obese-peso-Cause-for-alarm

Is the dollar weak so the exchange of piso dollar is strong?

Or the piso is strong beacuse of several currencies even it is exchange into US dollar.

If the piso goes 1:1 US dollar does it mean that all product and services go up considerably strong piso high wages but cheap product not that so much profit for investor and gambler in stock market.

Hope that Philippine will export rice and increase its production and all roof in the Philippine is solar paneled and ethanol or fuel from coconut.

Weak piso is a manifestation that the Philippine is buried in debt and our economic freedom is in question just like Ireland in the hands of IMF,the thing that happen in the Philippine that all state asset will be sold just to pay the interest of the national debt and the situation will stay that way for a very long time.

How much more if the world or Utah have already goes to gold and silver currency.

Or other just afraid that resources in the Philippine will be expensive that they need.

This article is good.
