Did you know that the man seated with anvil on the obverse of the US Philippine and later the Republic coins was copied from a Spanish Philippine medal?

I dont think that he just "copied" it, for there might be a reason why he copied it...

did you know......

in 1983. when i am about to go to new york city as an immigrant. i deposit to consolidated bank and trust company a lot of uncirculated rolls and bags. all denomination which i change it directly from the central bank of the philippines. coins dated 1980 to 1982. some 20,000 pieces. good things is those money were demonetized and devaluated against the u.s.dollars. bad things is if philiipine collectors might like to buy from me at a fair premium. i only brought to state 800 pc of uncirculated 1982 aluminum one centavo. why?. the only reason is light. since 2005 to present time. instead i bought some 30,000 uncirculated u.s. nickels (westward), quarters (statehood & territorial), kennedy half dollars, sacagawea dollars and presidential dollars. i just love the coins.
