Try to look for Barilla issued n 1982, there's an excerpt there about the Counterstamp coinage of the Philippines. There is another excellent book authored by Dr. Orpilla but it is very rare. The last time I heard a sold copy, it went for 10K pesos in the US.
Most articles are not contained in one single book so you have to do your own research since most of the write-ups regarding counterstamp coins is still not yet well tackled and discussed aside from the fact new specimen have been discovered. |

I will try to get that sometime somebiody offer them in ebay. Maybe somebody here owns it and like to offer it |

| Here is an interesting specimen, never before a counterstamp collector have seen a Ferdinand VII counterstamp on 4 reales. This specimen is from the admin's collection himself. That is why we still need to do more research on counterstamp coins. |

| Agreed, it is a fascinating area of the nation's numismatic history. One word of caution. I'm not an expert on counterstamped coins. Those who are experts warn that there are growing numbers of either counterfeit counterstamps on genuine under-coins, or counterfeit counterstamps on phony under-coins.
As the previous posters suggested, you are on the right track by trying to buy the two respected reference books and viewing the Barrilla issues containing articles on this subject.

| In real live i am a webmaster and you could belive me if i have enough material i will make it into a site where everybody could read it later for free. But in first line i am a clollector of those coins. And now i need to study as more information as i could get. And there i took everything i could get.

| Like the admin said, it is almost impossible to build something that doesn't want to be built. If only all the local clubs would consolidate all their records. |

Just want to barge in your discussion but this has been the problem of the local numismatic industry since the time I started collecting coins. There are no reliable authority in the local clubs since most individuals carry only their own respective interest. These affect the facts that are circulating around because local dealers could easily reject your opinion and observation without basis.
Aside from that, mudslinging is a common practice here. Most of them are politicians and not collectors. I think if this kind of practice stops then we could move on to a new level of collecting. |
