| Hi all, here is a Filipino Dime with what looks like errors. Can anyone tell me anything about these coins with errors. I can't seem to find anything documenting them with errors. Thank you |

| unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any literature on Philippine error coins |

| No one has been able to find anything so far. Is it that rare or just not that big of deal that no one talks about it  Missing the first "T" in STATES the "I" in UNITED is messed up at the top and the first "A" in AMERICA in filled in in the middle. Is it worth anything more than silver value? |

| i am guessing that no one is interested in those types of errors here in the Philippines.
i am sure there are a few who collect error coins and would know more about them. I personally don't like error coins and personally don't consider them more valuable than melt value. |

This is a 1944 D/S ten centavos variety. It is not actually an error but just a variety of the 10 centavos produced from 1944 to 1945. Thanks for joining this forum. Welcome! |

I agree this is a variety, however D/S on ten centavos? unless this is a new discovery. I thought D/S is on 20 centavos, please confirm. |

If you are into error coins, try to limit the condition of your prospect coins between VF at least to UNC. Most coins in VG to Fine are either damaged or altered which affects it overall value and appeal. Grading companies prefer grading error coins in UNC only due to poor handling of coins.  |
