a friend told me that being a member of numismatist groups in the USA and Europe entitles you to some privileges like access to books, catalogs and other references.. however here in manila, we do have some associations but i do not know if they have this kind of assistance to members.. the only good thing that happened was this internet access where we can freely exchange information to help each other.. thanks to everybody who always provide valuable info..

in my opinion, "real" members of the numismatic organizations here in the Philippines also have access to books catalogs etc..
what i mean by "real" members, are those who pay annual fees, if one is not aware of this, it means, he/she is not a member but merely someone who participates in the auction...

you can get almost everything on the internet for free. thats where i get my catalogues. you dont a membership for that.

that is it. i am not that tech savvy, i am having a hard time with computers.. although my previous work is done on computers, it involves creation of technical reports and various communications plus papers with various computations and references to world market prices (London Metal Exchange values, BSP foreign exchange rates, salvage value, economic life, market price, etc..).. but i have yet to learn a lot with this Internet thing.. i can not even upload a picture of my coins and can not even down load anything, i have to copy (list / tables) word per word.. whew.. i really has to really with friendly people and thank goodness there are many of here in our group.

one more thing with numismatist groups, others will be willing to help you with all questions you find hard to ask, like are the coins offered worth buying? are the coins offered authentic?, for me i would like to ask if some coins with anomalies (but very beautiful) are worth buying? this last questions have very different opinions, so i have not yet decided on it..
