A friend asked me what my dream is in this coin collecting hobby. Well, it made me think for a while and then I said, I want to complete my USPI set and smiled because I know that it will not be reachable for me. But I have been thinking about it for a long time now. My attainable dream is to have at least three pieces of nice coin Mint issues, graded and slabbed (encapsulated) by NGC or ANACS or PCGS (or whoever recognized), a three piece collection of a pure Platinum coin, a pure Gold coin and a pure Silver coin. All are available in the USA or Canada. Someday soon, I will have the three coins.

Cherry picker type ang pagkolekta ko...pupunta ako sa mga coin dealer/direct buyer...titingnan ko kung anong coins ang meron siya...tapos ay kukunin ko yung mga coin na maganda at mura pa. Kakabili ko pa nga lang ng mga BU/Unc na one centavo...50php/each. Masaya ako pag nakakabili ako ng mura.

Ang collector's dream ko ay ang humaba pa ang buhay ko para mas matagal ko pang ma-enjoy ang hobby ko.

Of course, I still dreams of completing that USPI coin series, but at the rate "beautiful coins" comes along, I do not know when. During auctions, my estimated price for a coin seems to be way off the winning bid because others are "hell bent" on getting the same coin. And most of all, I only have my monthly pension to support this hobby and that is not enough as I want to get many coins. Dealers sets very high prices for "hard to get" coins, as they really know the trade. My other dream is to have a coin consultation group, but now this forum fits the full requirement, as a lot are giving free info, sharing experiences and good advice.

my ultimate collector's dream is to at least complete the entire US/philippine series banknotes; all in good condition. but then again last time i checked, the 500peso victory series banknote already costs 75 grand minimum so that dream may be a long and expensive journey for me. still attainable though.

but then again numismatics is a neverending journey. that actually is the beauty of it. if you already have all the money in the world to buy all the "old" money in the world all at once, well that won't be as rewarding as working your ass off to get one piece of your collection at a time.

my dream in coin collecting would be to acquire some of the rare coins in the world if not, then just in the Philippines i also dream of having one of the most beautiful looking coins from Canada/Australia
