Im from the Visayas. Di po ako collector. I have early 1900's coins here gusto ko sana benta but i don't know kung may value. I read that dapat must be graded by a certified pro to know the value. I know authentic yung coin ko galing kasi sa lola ko (she's 92 yrs old)

well, unfortunately here in the Philippines we don't have any third party coin graders like what they have in the US. Most of the grading here are done by the veteran numismatists. Typically a veteran numismatist can tell if a coin is fake or not simply by looking at them. but for the novices like myself, i rely on my pocket weighing scale to make sure.

That's the best way we can help you, post the pictures of the coin, or if you cannot scan it, enumerate any description indicated on the coin. Like the year, country, denomination etc

Personally, i would buy any coins even if they are not graded, because grading for me is based on ones judgement... if i find a coin nice, and the price offered is what i have in mind, no questions asked

I hope there's a shop/service here that can offer coin grading.
Service like sending your coin to PCGS at a certain price.
Once slabbed, they will send you a text message/e-mail so you can retrieve it at the store.

at the moment wala pa nagooffer ng services na ganyan. however, sa alam ko meron ibang dealer ang nagpapadala ng coins sa US for slabbing not sure kung para lang sa sariling collection nila

yes, there are dealers and also just plain collectors, who sends their coin in the states to have them graded, but they don't make a "public business" out of it. Unless that you have a contact abroad, your friends and relatives can bring your coin to a local pcgs authorize dealer.
