does bsp accept and/or exchange old peso coins no longer in circulation? i have lots of various old peso coins (non-silver) with different denomination from the 60s, 70s, 80s and the 90s. i want to get rid them.

According to the BSP circular no. 81 series of 1995 "Retirement of all existing central bank circulation coins"

the eng, pil, abl, f&f, and the iff coins may be exchanged or replaced at par without charge....until January 2, 1998. After January 2, 1998, the aforementioned BSP coins which have not been exchanged shall be cease to be a liability of the bangko sentral ng pilipinas and shall be considered demonitized.
