PostSubject: Advice on Coin Price   Mon Feb 21, 2011 3:23 pm

My bad decision on selling and swapping a coin happened when I mentioned to a friend, that I have an ugly 1909s ten centavo coin. It is really just an ordinary coin which can be considered as Fine Grade with minor scratches but no shine or glint whatever, but all features are still legible. I swap it for a hundred pesos and two uncirculated ten centavo coins (1944 and 1945). That was long ago before I got hold of a copy of Krausse and before I attended the coin auctions. Now I only have one piece of that 1909s ten centavo coin in an uncirculated condition and a friend want to buy it. How much is the right price? Thanks

A truly graded coin in an uncirculated state especially if it is a key date should be submitted to a professional coin grading company for slabbing, before you decide to sell it. May I ask how much po is the offer?

The interested person just wanted to buy it but did not give any offer leaving me to name my asking price for a negotiation, so it is no go at the moment. Anyway, I have the intention of sending the coin to the States for processing by ANACS (maybe for authentication, cleaning/restoration, grading and slabbing) including several beautiful coins I have in my collection which are like Brilliant and Uncirculated conditions. I just wish I could have a fair estimate of its true value. Thanks.
