I got two coins which looks very nice but I can not determine its year dates because both has weak strikes on the year date. Some friends tell me that it has more value than regular coins while others say it will sell less because many coins are usually that way specially after several millions were produced by the minting plants. I still keep the two coins and just wonder what the future will turn out. Both coins are almost uncirculated coins, a twenty centavo and a ten centavo. I will bring it along to show it to others during this sunday coin auction.

If you are still new in the hobby, avoid purchasing coins especially good quality coins if you still don't know how to grade or determine authenticity. Try to look for a mentor first or somebody that will show you the ins and outs of collecting. Don't buy coins based on catalog value but buy coins because you want it. At this early stage, you still have to learn some tricks of the hobby so don't focus on catalog values.

Thanks for the advice. I usually get my collections from coin auctions by various groups in this country specially for costly coins (AU, UNC and BU). I used to get all kinds of coin whatever they look like but now I want to improve the collection so I am trying to get nice looking coins.
