hello! i am new here and was hoping that some of you can help me. I enjoy buying coins in ebay.ph and currently use a strong magnet and a caliper to check whether the coin is genuine or not. I have already purchased a small scale to weigh the coins as well to further check for authenticity.

I would like to know if there is any other test that can be done to ensure the authenticity of silver coins.

its a 9 coin set supposedly from the order of malta. I bought the unusual world coins book hoping to get information about these coins but unfortunately it was not listed either.

This coin set are minted by private mints who are usually commissioned by such small islands like Barbados, Malta, Isle of Man, and other protected territories. Most of them are usually undersetimated by collectors because they are from lesser known and remote countries. But these coins are high quality bullion coins. Sometimes these countries even produced platinum, palladium, and gold bullion coins which are not even minted in industrialized and more famous countries.
