Does anybody have a picture of "1 Piso: 50th Anniversary of the Philippine - American Friendship Day (1996)" coin? This title is seen in the BSP website but aside from a mintage of 5,000 pieces and a composition of "non-precious", there are no other specifications available, Dees anybody even have the specifications only (even if no pictures)?

Good Monday morning po. I have never heard of this piece. I quickly scanned for this denomination, or a coin with this theme, different date or different denomination, and found nothing. I am curious... Where did the BSP refer to this coin? Do you have a website URL link?

It is under the "BSP Notes and coins \ Banknotes and coins \ Commemorative coins and medals".

It is the 3rd coin listed on the table. Additional info is that it was requested by the " Department of Foreign Affairs".

I have been making a list/specifications of commemorative coins of the Philippines and this is the only coin that I have not yet seen in the internet.

I have seen this once. This is a very small coin same size with the "bataan day" 1-piso. Never since one ever since.

At least somebody has confirmed the existence of this coin. I have seen this coin mentioned in another website but with practically the same data as the BSP website.
Where did you see this coin - in the internet? Ebay? or did you see the actual coin?
I was thinking of doing an inquiry to the BSP or the DFA (the requesting unit) if they have a remaining specimen of this coin.

I've seen it with a fellow collector. He told me that it was given to him by a friend from Hawaii. I offered to pay for it but he declined. This coin is very rare. Don't know what happened from the rest of the mintage.
