| I have three pieces MS63 of this coin and I've been trying to locate info on the minted quantity for this year philippines 1964 50 centavos cupronickel coin without success. Is the year rare or common? Thank you for the assist  |

Here's the info i got from Basso and Krause
50 Centavos republic series: 70% copper 18% zinc 12% nickel, 10 grams, 30.3mm
1958
Mintage:5,000,000
Mint: Philadelphia
1964 (minted in 1965 but dated 1964)
Mintage: 25,000,000
Mint: Royal Mint, London
It's probably worth P50-P70 at best if it's in brilliant uncirculated condition. Anything less it's scrap metal. But numismatic-wise, it's a good start-up coin for beginners. |
