PostSubject: Is Philpost reliable?   Wed Mar 11, 2009 12:08 am

Since we only have 3 topics available, ill just put this here even if it's not related.

Can i trust the Philippine post office to deliver to me the packages being sent to me from abroad?

Some of the coins that i win on ebay i usually have it shipped to a US address and then later on a relative of mine would bring it home to me. But if i buy a coin, lets say from australia, im not sure if i should have it sent directly to the philippines or still to the US.

what do you guys think? does anyone here have any good/bad experience with philpost?

Hello DIC!
I am an ebay seller for 2 years now and I often send coins to the Philippines. So far there is only 1 case that the buyer claimed that he did not received my item. The rest are ok. In my advice, ask the ebay seller to send your winning item by registered mail or EMS. This would ensure you a safe delivery without any problems. But this would cost you more than the regular postage. Registered mail would cost about $14.00 for a single coin weighing a total of 2 ounces. EMS would be more expensive. $27.00 and it is a 5 day delivery. But there is one advantage. You could put as much as 5 coins because it is a flat rate envelope. I hope this helps.
