Who is the artist will create a new design for the proposed new notes.

It is same design or images or different one?

What is there standard of measurement of choosing an artist and images for the new notes.

Whats the update now?

Any competition plan for the design or images of the new notes?

Anyone know the detail story on how it progress?

From what I read they will change the entire design and leave some and add some important people, and cultural images.

I think only Central Bank can answer your other questions

I like the mountain APO,the craftsmen next time put a shirt he might be caught by some city mayor in NCR he will be jailed, there is an ordinace if someone walk half naked in NCR you will be jailed if not clean the toilet of the city hall, like the trees that bear fruit like mangga or other fruit bearing trees, maybe rice or corn like on celtic coins, its okay to have a woman as long the design is modest in apparell, like the sun

If the BSP starts to issue Polymer notes that will be the end of all the "error" notes you see at Ebay. All Polymer notes worldwide are printed here in Australia and that means very strict security. In the 21 years since Australia issued the first polymer note I've never seen a print or cut error here, sure there might be a few, but nowhere near the amount of error notes you see with Philippine issues (most of which I dare say are smuggled out of the print shop, either that or the "quality control" guys arn't doing their job). It will also mean "Solid Numbers" are only issued every 11 years and NO Million Notes. Plastic notes have a different serial number format, If I look at a bill in my wallet, the # is EF 05158418, the first two numbers 05 means it was printed in 2005, all the numbers change except the first two 05, and because there are only 6 other digets, so no million notes. And solid numbers will only appear in 2011, 2022 etc.

I have the impression that most errors are intentional for outside selling. Is that possible?

Just a comment.

The highest denomination in Philippine notes or bill should be just only 500 pesos in polymer notes.

I will go to the history of Phillipines currency and its metal content its denomination its value, purchasing power and agrrement between trading.

First of all like to thank all the write from all sites contributing and the the writer in wikipedia.

There are 2 article in FN as listed linked above.

And another this one.

http://philmoney.blogspot.com/2009/08/bsp-to-redesign-all-philippine.html

Entry in wikipedia.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philippine_peso_coins

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philippine_peso

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banknotes_of_the_Philippine_peso

Kindly do not repeat tha past mistake in the past and do not denometized the small denomination and create a paper notes larger than 500 pesos, just a comment it will bring unimaginable hardship to the Filipinos.

There are some artist seen in the web.

Angel cacnio and manaquil.

http://library.thinkquest.org/20213/data/angel3.htm

About the demonitezation of smaller denomination can anyone imagine what is the result of it,from silver bullion in 1967 to decimalization to fiat to floating currency.

If there is a plan of issuing much mire higher denomination in notes, see more 0 zero just a comment its worst.

About the liwer denomination.

Even in other countries it was discuss in other forums and the result is not good in Philippines perspective just a comment its worst.

Even others will ague that there is nothing you can buy from 1 sentimo it is true but do not demonitzed the lower denomination.

If trader nd business will inc there price or value to there product only 1 peso is the smallest denomination just a comment 1 peso is the least and minimum increase they will have per product.

All the ingridient the baker will use to make a loaf of bread is 1 peso before the loaf is made it is already several pesos already and all the stages it will go through before it end up in the consumer the price will be very high just a comment.

That is only one product and combine that to all the needs of a Filipino.

Just a comment astronomically unimaginable,just a comment.

Seen in Krause 1967 on one sentimo is 100 sentimo to a piso.

Others can count how many Philippines sentimo to other world currencies.

If it is only piso is the lowest denomination how they will going to count it to other world currencies by ratio?

If Piso becaming a sentimo dont know what the effect of it?

And it will only have 3 coins for circulation 1 5 and 10 piso if it will happen just a comment.

If it is made of silver like in the past others can measure it easly ounce by ounce world currencies.

Hi Josie Very Happy
For currency conversions this site is useful
http://xe.com
click "tools" then click "currency converter"

we havent hit the bottom of the barrel, one Philippine Peso is still = to 40 Colombia Pesos and = 11 Chile Pesos among other things

It would be nice to bring back P28=1US$ circa abt 1987, but that would be fantasy, i Think Very Happy
