The 1977 5000Php comes in UNC and PROOF and both are extremely rare and only 10 to 30 pcs are believed to exist after the rest were melted by greedy coin dealers when the Central Bank hoard was opened after the Marcos regime. Price is definitely above bullion value. I cannot estimate the price because only 1 set appeared at a local auction a decade ago and never seen 1 even on ebay since.

during early 80's. the 1000 piso gold coin is not worth 1000 piso. it fell below face value. of course the price is still a little premium over 1000 piso. i should have buy some during those years. but i wasn't. instead i got a lot of uncirculated 1975 big marcos 5 piso - nickel. around 2,000 pc. a lot of 1 piso, 25 sentimos, 10 sentimos, 5 sentimos and 1 sentimos. original plastic bags and rolls. total your guess. i came to american with only 400 unc 1 sentimos. because it was light. it's aluminum. it's been 27 years. time goes fast. i only saw caesar became one of the top guy in your coin club there. the rest. i don't know. some maybe pass away.
